The house is a magical retreat
on the island, easily accessible from the mainland with car ferry crossings available from Portsmouth (45 mins) and Southampton (55 mins). Only 2.5 hours from London Waterloo by train to Lake station located just a few minutes walk from the house.
Located on the border of Lake and Sandown we are minutes from the beach, a gorgeous playground, the famous coastal walking path, shops, the Isle of Wight Zoo, the National Poo Museum and numerous wonderful promenades of the island.
The heritage on the island means you are never short of things to do. From Queen Victoria's family home to the final "home" of Charles the First, the history of this island offers up fantastic opportunities. There are historical visits and the island is home to animal sanctuaries and theme parks. The Needles natural coastal structure includes beautiful coloured sand and simply stunning beaches.
With six bedrooms 5 The Mall is the perfect place for a family or group of friends to stay on holiday. There are two bedrooms with superking beds (one of which can be turned into a twin if required), a double and a twin as well as travel cot. Additionally, there are two attic rooms that can be used as bedrooms - one a double, the other a twin.
We have a beautiful kitchen and all the amenities you could ask for including the essentials for babies and toddlers, a snug with TV, toys and games for children, and a conservatory with a calm reading and relaxing area for everyone.
A front drive with ample parking and an enclosed garden with coal barbecue and seating areas makes for beautiful evenings in the summer.
